A quiet day, filled with just enjoying little moments.
Even the simple things, like making it to the top of a steep staircase, or eating flavoured ice shavings, feel different when you are in a new place. There’s a kind of familiarity that I get anywhere in the world, and it’s a feeling that often walks beside me here in Japan.
Though travelling is all about immersing yourself in the history and culture of a place, it’s nice to know that there are universal experiences all over the globe, like the taste of a wafter cone, and the music that doesn’t define itself by style or by language, but by the way that people stop to listen to it.
