It's been a while since I wrote my last blog, as I simply don't know what to say. So far, sapporo hasn't quite been what we expected. Being in hokkaido, in the North, we were expecting lots of beautiful national parks, with mountains and lakes and the kind of breathtaking scenery we have seen on postcards. It definitely hasn't been like that, and we have struggled to post pictures and to find things to write about.
We have been to a few parks, where none of the trees and the flowers are yet in bloom. We went to a historical village and learned more about how people used to live before the modern world took us in to a whole new orbit. And finally we went to a canal, where we expected to see beautiful lights and romantic walks along the water, but were instead met with cold fingers and blurry pictures in the dark.
But tomorrow we will go to a traditional japanese onsen town, something which everyone who has been to Japan recommends you must do. So here's hoping that tomorrow will help us reconnect with the heaet of Japan and it's beauty, and give us some fond memories of our last week in this incredible country.
