For our first real day in Lombok, we decided to check out the tour of the local markets. So we piled into the back of the car, and started out the day in high intrigue. However, when arrived at the first market, it was totally different from the little wooden stalls down thin poky streets that we had envisioned. No, these were like mini malls, they were actual stores split into different sections for clothes, food, souvenirs and gifts. Each stop on the tour took us to a similar little place, but each had different variations on the traditional Lombok snacks in the food department, and the designs and logos on the clothes. Dougie got some lovely vests and a tshirt to stave off the searing heat out here, and a hideous (cough cough I mean beautiful, darling) patterned shirt. Molly and I got some lovely bits for people back home.
