Goa Gaja, the elephant cave, started out to be just that. A small crevice in the rock, with intricate carving around the entrance, and eyes staring back at you from within the stone. The outside was more spectacular than the inside, it was cramped and dimly lit, anyone with claustrophobia would have had a nightmare walking around here. Within two minutes, we had been in and out if the cave and were wondering what on earth we had walked all the way here for.
On the way out we noticed a set of steps behind the buildings and decided to go down and see if there was anything interesting before we left the attraction. And this is where we found the holy grail. A small waterfall congealed in a cool pool , which ran underneath the huge roots of a beautiful ancient tree. Even it's grooves were twice the size of me, and you could have fit an entire house in its hollows. Beside this there was a little pond, with lillies spreading out across the surface and the rare rays of sun shone just often enough to make the water glisten.
