Trick eye

Laughter closes the gaps between people, so if you can be in a public place, doing something silly and crazy and fun, and not care who is watching, you will inevitably make those around you smile. This is exactly what we did today in the trick eye museum. A seemingly ordinary building, with painted pictures on the wall at strange angles and optical illusions. But when looked at through the lens of a camera, the photos came alive with fire breathing dragons, sea snakes rearing their head up out of the water, and Pegasus flying off into the distance.

We really went for it, emerging ourselves in this virtual reality, surfing on the backs of sharks and hiding in little boxes from dinosaurs that rampaged through the building. It was like being in your own version of Jurassic world, or in your own version of a horror film in the section where the paintings of creepy children in old Victorian dresses came to life in the most subtle and sinister way, and we got ourselves lost in the house of mirrors. If you like things that mess with your mind, and make you learn to laugh at yourself, this experience is definitely for you.
